Dark Side Jedi health problems

Hi all. Anyone got any hints and tips for a dark side jedi that keeps dying? Is there any clothing I can get made that will boost my health or anything because although I can deal great damage I can only take a slight flick to the ear and I'm on my back with my legs in the air (ooer). Thanks peeps
