Everyone is excited about the new Beast Master Expertise System coming to Star Wars Galaxies in Chapter 6. Here is a sneak preview of some of the great things to come!
One of the interesting new game play features of the Beast Master system is the ability to grow your own pets.
Beast Masters will use creature incubators to grow DNA strands into eggs.
While the creature is incubating, Beast Masters will be able to manipulate the controls of the incubator to adjust the temperature, add enzymes, nutrients, and natural chemicals found in the plants harvested on most planets.
As the Beast Master cares for their incubating creature, there is a chance they can mutate!
Our scientists have identified some of the possible creature mutations. Here are some of the fantastic new creatures they have created.

As creature DNA grows in an incubator, beast masters will be able to experiment with different enzymes, nutrients and temperature gauges to try and cause a creature mutation.
Maturing from DNA into an egg, beast masters will be able to select different ratings on the incubator to try and affect a creature's behavior.
A beast master will adjust these attributes to affect a creature's growth:
Aggression
Bestial Resilience
Cunning
Hunter's Instinct
Intelligence
Survival
Beast masters will have to care for their developing creature through three sessions of developmental growth. At each stage, all of the choices will affect the chance a creature has to mutate. If successful, the incubator will visually react and display a message confirming that a mutation has occurred.
Some creature mutations are rarer than others and require that the DNA mutates through all three sessions of development!
Different creatures have different types of physical mutations such as color, feathers or spikes.
During all three stages of creature development, your crafting skills will be put to the test. You will have to pay attention to the quality of the incubator, the enzymes, the geothermal power and the DNA. The color of the enzymes and choice of expertise abilities will be important as well.
Here is a fearsome creature that has gone through three successful mutations.
Creature mutation is just one of the interesting aspects of the beast master expertise coming to Star Wars Galaxies in Chapter 6.
