The Azure Cabal is an exciting new quest series coming to Star Wars Galaxies in Chapter 6. Characters level 85-90 can enjoy this brand new, stand-alone series of adventures based on lore from the expanded Star Wars universe. Completing these quests will also unlock another new set of repeating, high-level quests that will be available on Naboo, Dantooine and Corellia.
The Mistryl Shadow Guard
After the fall of the Old Republic, the planet Emberlene was still full of splendor and beauty. The inhabitants were a proud people who resisted the birth of the Galactic Empire. Believing there was still a chance to resist Emperor Palpatine's rule, they formed a powerful fighting force to remain free from the Empire. The resistance was an elite group of all-female humans known as The Mistryl Shadow Guard.
Fearing Emberlene and the Mistryl Shadow Guard, the Emperor had their world destroyed as an example to anyone who thought they could resist the rule of the Empire. After the destruction of Emberlene, the guard was sent out to earn credits to protect and rebuild their devastated communities. That is the bedtime story told to younglings.
It is not the truth.
Few remember the truth of Emberlene's dark secret. Just a few short years before the planet's destruction, Emberlene used its might and wealth to conquer neighboring systems. Leaving destruction in its wake, Emberlene forces ruthlessly plundered and subjugated dozens of worlds. The remaining worlds in that sector of the galaxy banded together and retaliated against their attackers. The enemies of Emberlene destroyed the planet in defense of their own. Some say that the Mistryl Shadow Guard was a group of mercenaries hired by the victims of Emberlene. Others recount the Clone Wars, alleging that the Mistryl Shadow Guard was the warrior sect responsible for conquering Emberlene's neighboring worlds.
Some believe the bedtime story, while others remember a darker version of the tale. Be wary though, if you start asking too many questions about the history of the Mistryl Shadow Guard in a cantina, make sure your blaster holster is unsnapped.
The mysterious Loruna Scathe is rumored to be a former member of the Mistryl Shadow Guard. Cantina gossip has it that over the years, Loruna learned the truth about the guard and found it morally untenable.
She broke away from the Mistryl Shadow Guard and formed her own mercenary group called, "The Azure Cabal." Her mercenaries quietly compete for the same contracts as the Mistryl Shadow Guard so she maintains extremely tight security for the safety of herself, her people and her clients.
To avoid outright conflicts with the guard or attract the attention of the Empire, Loruna has gone to great lengths to establish a scattered, but highly efficient group of mercenaries that operate throughout the galaxy. Each member of her inner-circle solicits mercenary contracts from specific contacts to avoid attracting any undue attention.
Mercenaries, rogues, and scoundrels looking for work seek out the Azure Cabal, but the way into their inner circle is easier said than done. Those lucky enough to find Loruna must survive their tests to earn acceptance into the cabal.
"The Azure Cabal"
You can begin this quest series by meeting with Loruna Scathe.
You can find Loruna at the Theed cantina on Naboo.
To earn her respect and start working as an Azure Cabal mercenary, you will have to prove you can be trusted by winning the endorsement of each member of Loruna's inner circle.
Broma Lak was once an RSF Captain whose loyalty was too easy to purchase.
These days, most savvy intelligence operatives know he is associated with Loruna Scathe. He can usually afford a little more visibility because he still maintains a higher respect for Imperials than Rebels. His respect for the Empire has earned him a few friends in high places that owe him a favor or two.
Getting involved with the Azure Cabal will surely mean earning Broma's endorsement.
"Gungan Power Grab"
Loruna will send you to Broma Lak who is near a shuttle port in Theed.
You can win Broma's endorsement by completing his quests.
One of Broma's local contacts is a hard-headed Gungan named Jak Chucka. Jak is a shifty character who idolizes Boss Nass. Hungry for power, he even aspires to become a boss himself one day. To overcome his enemies and earn his way to being a boss, Jak has been quietly building his own intelligence network for the Gungans.
Chances are if you deal with Broma, you're going to deal with Jak so brush up on Gungan etiquette.
"Gungan Power Grab Part 2"
Jak can be found on Naboo not too far from Broma.
Completing Jak's quests is the key to winning over Broma Lak.
As a young Zabrak, Porgryn longed to be a warrior but her dreams were shattered when she accidentally inhaled a caustic gas. The gas permanently crippled her, making the simple act of breathing difficult, even with the latest medical implants. In the years after her accident, she survived her depression by losing herself amongst the travelers and indigents of Tatooine.
While finishing up one of her early mercenary contracts, Loruna met and befriended Porgryn. Porgryn has become a trusted member of the Azure Cabal and her ability to avoid attention and remain virtually invisible in a crowd makes her their top covert operative.
"Top of the World"
Porgryn is on a mission and can be found at the WayFar settlement on Tatooine.
You will have to earn Porgryn's endorsement to gain favor with the Azure Cabal.
Tweego is a formidable but reclusive Rodian hunter who spends his time perfecting his hunting skills in the harsh wastelands of Tatooine. While on safari, Tweego happened across Loruna Scathe and rescued her from a speeder wreck.
He sheltered Loruna after the accident and while she recuperated, Tweego salvaged her speeder. He used the credits to have a bounty hunter eliminate a rival who had disgraced him in the eyes of his family.
Because of Loruna's timely appearance in his life, he developed a fondness for her, which is unusual for his predatory species. Though he once thought himself her superior, Loruna's skills as a hunter soon humbled him and he gladly joined the Azure Cabal.
"Hunter's Path"
Tweego can be found near the spaceport in Mos Entha on Tatooine.
You can win his inner circle endorsement by completing his challenges.
Propti Xaroon was once a prosperous entertainer who loved to dance. It was a simple and rewarding life, but Tatooine cantinas can be dangerous places for the wealthy. She was lured into a trap by a dirty-dealing businessman named Hoverdale. His hired thugs robbed her and she was injured trying to fend off her attackers. While she recovered from the attack, she was able to turn to her fans and customers for help. With their loyal support, Propti established herself as a valuable information broker for the Azure Cabal.
"Propti's Loss"
Propti can be found outside of the Mos Espa cantina on Tatooine.
By taking revenge on Hoverdale and recovering her stolen purse, you will be able to gain Propti's endorsement.
The Azure Cabal: Loruna's Enforcement
Once you have earned the endorsement of the Azure Cabal's inner circle, a new series of repeatable quests will be unlocked. By contacting the inner circle of the Azure Cabal, they will give out a variety of mercenary contracts. As a Cabal operative, you will help them expand their operations and take revenge on their enemies. There are a variety of adventures with story lines that revolve around:
