Each new buddy you refer who converts to a subscription account gets one Cybernetic Experience Chip (one per account) offering double XP for 30 minutes, useable up to 15 times.

Each new recruit who converts to a subscription account will also be given one thank you Buddy Token (one per account) that they can give to you as a way of saying thank you for introducing them to the galaxy. Add your buddy token to your collections and redeem exclusive in-game buddy rewards.

The first three buddy tokens that a player may receive for referring buddies will, when redeemed by the same in-game character, turn into a series of in-game paintings based on poster art for the Star Wars movies.

The fourth Buddy Token that a player may receive, when redeemed by the same in-game character, will turn into a Light-Bending BARC Speeder, an incredibly rare item, new to Star Wars Galaxies.

Q: How do I claim more than one of the same buddy gifts with the same character?

A: You can only claim one of each of these thank you buddy gifts per character.  If you get more than four tokens with a character you can trade the additional tokens to alternate characters on your account to redeem the gifts.  Please note that your redemption numbers do not carry over from one character to another.  If you collect 3 gifts on character A and get a buddy token with character B you will not get the Light Bending BARC speeder; if you redeem that token with character B, you will get the Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace poster. 


Q: Can I give the items I claimed to another character in the game?

A: The thank you items are non-transferable and once you redeem a buddy token, the item cannot be traded or sold.
 

Q: Can I reactivate a former account and get the buddy items?

A: Only new accounts are eligible to receive the thank you buddy token and Cybernetic Experience Chip for this buddy promotion.
 

Q: I just started a new trial account last week. Can I still get the buddy token and Cybernetic Experience Chip?

A: Unfortunately, this promotion will only work with new accounts and a new installation of Star Wars Galaxies downloaded from www.TrySWG.com.


Q: How old does my character have to be to add the buddy tokens to a collection?

A: Characters must be at least ten days old to add the buddy tokens.


Q: My friend got the email about the buddy program but I did not, why?

A: Please visit www.station.sony.com and click on My Account then Change Email Settings and make sure that the check box next to Star Wars Galaxies is checked.  Also make sure that the email address listed at the top of the page is your current, up-to-date email address. You do not need to be opted in for SOE promotions in order to receive the buddy "thank you" gifts.
