The Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game: Champions of the Force is here! Not only can you experience the fun and excitement of taking on your friends in a card battle, you just might find a special loot card for some spectacular in-game items. Read on for a description of just some of the great in-game loot items you might obtain in Champions of the Force.
Using a Loot Card
Loot cards in the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game are redeemed in the Collection Manager. Right-click on the card and choose Redeem; this will take you to the terms and conditions page. Choose Agree if you want to redeem your loot.
After redeeming your loot card, exit the TCG and enter the command /claim in order to bring up your rewards list. You will find your loot on this list. Simply select it and you are ready to go! Remember, claimed loot items in the MMO game cannot be traded between characters, so be sure to choose carefully the character that uses the /claim command!
Nuna-Ball Advertisement
Certain loot items, like the Nuna-Ball Advertisement, grant a bonus to your current experience. The Nuna-Ball Advertisement is an instant experience gain that adds 10% of the total amount to reach the next level.
If you are level 90, you can still put the advertisement to good use! Rather than adding to your current experience points, use the radial menu on the advertisement to earn a collection item. The collection item is completely random, so it could be one that you've already consumed, but you can trade it to your friends.
Are you a decorator at heart? You can even use the Nuna-Ball Advertisement as a poster in your home! This loot item has many uses for all types of players.
Greeters and Vendors
A greeter is a special NPC placed in a structure that welcomes all visitors to your home. Greeters can be used by any profession. In Champions of the Force, you can receive a special Meatlump greeter with an attitude.
Once you have claimed your item, the Employment Contract Terminal appears in your inventory. Use the radial menu and choose Drop to place the terminal in your home; the terminal can be moved and adjusted to your liking.
Use the radial menu and select Place Greeter. A window displays with a number of appearance options for your Meatlump greeter. You can choose a male or female Meatlump and even choose a high-ranking Meatlump officer. Select OK when you have made your appearance choice.
Next, you can customize your newly hired greeter's name, similar to vendor naming. Enter your desired name and click OK.
Once you select OK, the Meatlump Greeter is placed where you are standing. The greeter cannot be moved or rotated, so choose your position wisely before confirming the greeter's name! Use the radial menu on the greeter and select Recover Greeter if you wish to pick up the Meatlump and place it again.
Use the radial menu on the Meatlump and select Activate Greeter under Greeter Controls to continue setting up your Meatlump Greeter. You can also change your greeter's name in this menu if desired.
Once the greeter is activated, you will see new options in the Greeter Controls radial menu to set up the animations, voice, mood, and spatial preferences.
You must turn each of these options on in order to customize these preferences. For example, choose Spatial On to add a greeting in spatial text. A window appears with several choices. You can create a greeter who is grumpy, cheerful, sad, and more using these options!
A Gungan Vendor loot card and Jawa Vendor loot card are also part of Champions of the Force. When you claim these loot cards, an Employment Contract appears in your inventory. Select Use Deed to begin using your unique vendor.
If you are a Trader by profession, use the Structure Management Terminal to select the vendor as usual. You will find the Jawa or Gungan trader at the bottom of the NPC and Special Vendor menu. Drop the vendor in your structure and use him like any other vendor.
If you are not a Trader by profession, you can still make use of the Gungan or Jawa! Once you have claimed the item, select Use Deed to place your vendor as a decoration in your home. A warning displays with details about the use of this decoration; click Yes to continue.
You will be prompted to choose a name for your NPC decoration. Once you select OK, the decoration is placed where you are standing. The NPC cannot be moved or rotated, so choose your position wisely before confirming the NPC's name! Use the radial menu on the Gungan or Jawa NPC and select Pick Up if you wish to pick up the decoration and place it again.
Guise of the Sith and Guise of the Apprentice
If you happen to receive one of these loot cards you will be able to redeem it and spice up your character's appearance.
The Guise of the Sith will make your eyes glow red and the Guise of the Apprentice will make your eyes glow blue. Redeeming one of these loot cards is a sure way to distinguish yourself from the rest of the crowd.
Mechno Chair
This chair can be used for getting around comfortably and can be particularly useful if you are missing a leg.
The Mechno Chair resembles the one crafted for Cliegg Lars after he lost his leg during his encounter with the Tusken Raiders and their lethal trick wire.
XJ-2 Airspeeder
This brand new two person speeder will transport its owner and a friend in high style.
This is a luxury XJ-2 Airspeeder by Narglatch AirTech similar to the one flown by Bail Organa. This design is based on an older model and came in handy when Bail needed it to transport Yoda to safety after Yoda abandoned his fight with Darth Sidious.
Ord Pedrovia Podracer
Podracers have arrived in Star Wars Galaxies! These vehicles are faster than any other personal transport in the game and their size makes them an imposing presence. If you're traveling around in a Podracer, you are sure to make your friends jealousif they can see you as you whiz by their heads!
This Podracer is a custom Ord Pedrovia Podracer similar to the one flown by Gasgano in the Boonta Eve Classic. Gasgano managed to keep his Podracer at the head of the pack by using his 24 fingers to balance his Podracer fuel feeds, control the pressure valves, and optimize the reactant mix in the engines.
