Wasn't sure where to post this as I'm not after support or anything. Just wanted to post saying I sorted out my knackered PC. It was a dodgy RAM chip that didn't like sitting between the other two so I moved it to the outside and it's all fine and dandy now, tho I'm going to have to replace it pretty soon because it's obviously not gonna last much longer. Fingers crossed that it doesn't cause anything else to go boom in the meantime.
