A couple of updates. I finally got a chance to take a first look at the new hitboxes on the Arc170 and Dunelizard this morning and both are looking good to me.
The Arc170 now have a hitbox that is a lot more appropriate for it's size. In comparison it's now slightly bigger than the X-Wing (thought they are very close to being identical in size).
The Dunelizard's hitbox has been reduced. I asked to have reduced by as much as I felt would be possible without causing people attacking the ship to start seeing an abnormal number of missed hits. While the nose and tail parts of the ship is sticking out I think the result came out quite well. We're reduced the size of the hitbox by a guesstimated 20% or so. It's now a little larger than the X-Wing but the two hitboxes are fairly close in size.
In other news I took some time this weekend to look over the loot tables. One of the points brought up during the first GU9 related thread was that space components were dropping at an uneven rate. After talking to Loche and getting the green light to tweak the numbers some I've gone through the various loot lists and reduced the imbalance between space items dropping through the loot system. The overall trend should be that you'll see more engines, DI's, Shields and Guns drop compared to the number of armor, boosters and capacitors.
The result should be that your now more likely to loot items like engines, DI's, guns and shields instead of the previous heavy bias towards armor, capacitors and boosters. While I havent made all types even across the board you should see a more varied selection of components when looting space components.
I tweaked some of the stats on the frog to reflect level 8 reward guns EP/S and Min/Max damage, Level 7 Proctonets, Level 8 reward shields and the pre-nerf level 7/8 reactors.
In addition I increased the frog B-Wings mass to 245k.
I did not change the mass on the Ixiyen, Dunelizard or the Kimo on the frog. The reason for that is that I want to be sure plenty of people actually take the time to try and craft that chassis since that too needs to be tested. If needed we can change this once the update has been on TC/TC-Prime for a couple of days.
