With Game Update 9 several of the spaceships in the game have received a number of changes to bring them into balance with other ships.
Here is a quick overview of the changes that can currently be found on the TestCenter and TC-Prime servers!
Ship Improvements
All the numbers given for the ships handling and speed are specific to each of the chassis's described. In addition to the chassis specific numbers, any given ships handling will be further modified by the engine installed and possibly any engine overload running on the ships droid Interface.
Acceleration This number affects how fast the ship will accelerate to its top speed
Deceleration How fast the ship can reduce its speed
Yaw and pitch acceleration How fast the ship reaches its top turn speed. This value will also be affected by the ships current forward speed.
Roll How fast the ship roll's around its own center point
Please note: All numbers are subject to change during the testing phase.

The Y-Wing is the rebel fleets work horse. While not it doesn't carry the weapons of the X-Wing or the B-Wing and doesn't have the speed and agility of the A-Wing, the option of outfitting this ship with a turret, gives the ship the ability to fire at enemies in a wide arc around the ship.

The long probe is the Y-Wing set up in a bomber configuration. While forgoing the turret and suffering a light decrease in its handling characteristics, the Long Probe makes up for this by carrying an additional font mounted gun and an additional missile launcher.
The B-Wing was often considered nearly unflyable prior to GU9 due to its handling characteristics being worse than even most POB ships. With the GU9 update the ship will now handle much better. While the B-Wing is still the single player ship with the poorest handling characteristics, it more than makes up for this with its massive array of weaponry and large mass.

The tie bomber has often been overshadowed by the oppressor due to the oppressor's large array for missile tubes and better handling. With GU9 the Tie Bomber gains a significant increase in both handling and speed. While still not as agile or as well armed as the oppressor, it now has a greater top speed in addition to its larger mass.

Notes: This chassis can now be crafted with a mass up to 75.000 as opposed to the previous 41.000
The Tie/In is a standard Tie chassis that has often been overlooked in favor of either the Heavy Variant Tie Fighter or the Royal Guard Interceptor. With GU9 the Tie/In gains a significant increase to its mass, making it more of an alternative to the Heavy Tie and the Royal Guard Interceptor.

Notes: The Hitbox of this chassis have been reduced by approx. 20%, making it harder to hit.
The Dune Lizard has often been considered a poor choice for a combat pilot due to its large size and low mass.
In GU9 the ship has had it's mass drastically increased and it's hitbox reduced, offering pilots more options in how to outfit the ship as well as making it harder for enemy pilots to hit the ship in combat.

Notes: This ship will now be able to carry an additional missile launcher
The Kimogila is a large ship with a large arsenal of weapons at its disposal. With GU9 this arsenal has been further increased with the addition of an extra missile tube and as much as 90.000 more mass in which to fit more and bigger weapons.

Notes: This chassis can now be crafted with a mass up to 170000 as opposed to the previous 97000
Notes: This ship will now be able to carry an additional missile launcher
The Ixiyen is about as large as a single pilot ship gets. In order to counter this disadvantage, the Ixiyen now has significantly more mass allowing for more defenses and a better engine. In addition the ship has been upgraded to offer an additional missile tube, allowing it to act as a fast bomber when the situation requires it.

The Rihkxyrk is in many ways similar to the Kimogila. While it lacks the second missile tube of the Kimogila it makes up for this with better speed and acceleration as well as a smaller profile, making it harder to hit by enemy pilots.

The Arc-170 has had its hitbox increased in size to ensure that the hitbox now corresponds better with the ships size. Below is a shot of the Arc-170's hitbox before the change.
And here is the hitbox after the change. As you can see the hitbox has been greatly increased in size!
