This is the floor plan for a proposed Officer Mission Terminal. These missions are intended to add constant profession-specific content for the Officer profession. This is a early draft at the moment, and will be adapted based on input.
The Mission Terminals:
New 'Officer Mission Terminals' scattered around the Galaxy at major starports. They come in three variants: Rebel, Imperial, and Neutral. The Neutral ones will be available at most cities - However, one must venture to more factional controlled areas to find specific ones.
These mission terminals will display missions like such:
From the mission interface, there will be three mission types:
Destroy
Rescue
Capture
Each will be detailed later on.
Mission payouts and difficulty will scale to the group size. Upon completion, each member will be rewarded the same credit amount.
Accepting a Mission:
Upon accepting a terminal mission, you will be given a pop-up message. This will direct you to an NPC somewhere in the game world. You must seek out the NPC and talk with them for more details.
You will then be given either an exact location, or a nearby location waypoint, for the base. Once there, it will be up to you and your group to complete the goals.
Assaulting the Base:
Once at the base, you will have to achieve you mission goal:
Destroy
In a destroy mission, your goal is obvious: Clear out the security, and destroy the base.
Inside the base there will be an amount of NPCs scaled to your group size (View chart at bottom of post). Once the base is clear, you and your group will have to slice through several terminals to overload it.
Most of these terminals can simply be copy/pasted from the GCW bases. However, remove the profession restrictions so that a group of any profession type can complete the missions.
A smuggler will be able to quickly bypass some security terminals by using the radial "Slice" command. This command will roll based on the smugglers luck. if a valid roll is accomplished, the terminal will be instantly bypassed.
Failure to complete a terminal after a number of attempts scaled to the difficulty of the puzzle will result in a reset, and a spawn of Droid NPCs that will attempt to destroy you and your group.
Once all security terminals have been taken offline, the Officer who accepted the mission will be able to set the reactor terminal to 'Overload'. From there, the group will have 60 seconds to leave the base before it detonates.
After the base is destroyed, the payout will be awarded to the group.
Rescue
A rescue mission is similar to a Destroy mission. In this mission, the group will again have to secure the base, and slice through security.
Instead of overloading the reactor, the group will have to turn off the containment cell, so that they may free the NPC being held at the base.
Once the cells power is Offline, the group must escort the NPC out of the base, and to a safe 'Drop off Point' nearby. Be cautious! The group that captured the NPC in the first place may attempt to retake or assassinate them!
Once the group has escorted the NPC to the drop off point and they are away, the group will be awarded the payout.
Capture
A capture mission is rather a mix between the prior two types. In a capture mission you will have to secure the base, much as in a destroy mission. Instead of Overloading the Reactor, you will implant a virus into the bases main databank.
This virus will take several minutes to turn off all systems, and during this time, the faction controlling the base will attempt to assault it.
During this time, the group will have to fight against the assaulting forces and hold the base until the virus is completely uploaded.
After the virus is uploaded, the group will be awarded the payout.
Whats in it for me?
In addition to the payout, there will be several 'Loot Bins' inside the base - The amount scales to the group size (See chart at bottom). These will operate much like treasure maps, there will be a random assortment of items inside, and the Officer will be the only one able to access it during the mission.
* These would be crappy stated looted variants of weapons that are no longer craftable (IE: E11 mark 2 blaster). The purpose would be so they could be deconstructable.
** These include Exceptional Milk, Eggs, Hide/Meat/Bone collection pieces. Rare fish for collection, etc.
All schematics would be useable by any profession.
The armored V-35 is a one-use schematic for a Droid Engineer to craft. It would have the same turn rate as the current V-35. It would have the same speed rating as the Armored Command BARC, as well as 15000 health. It would also be repairable at a Vehicle Garage.
