Wondered Where you went

Not many ideas, only problems i have with internet recently is my Router/Modem over heating.

only thing i guess you can do is, swap your network card with a known good one, see if it works

Alas - could this be related to you asking last week about putting in a new router?

What is your current setup? Is it ISP cable into cable modem into USB into your PC?
Or do you have ISP cable into cable modem into network cable into router, into internet cable into your PC/Wireless to your PC?

IF you have a seperate router, and are using network cables, try taking this out of the equation and plugging the modem direct into your PC via USB if possible, or direct via internet cable. If nothing has changed recently on your PC, I imagine your hardware would be fine.

My money is on the router playing up, or if you havn't got one, the modem from the ISP playing up. Do you have access to another machine, maybe a laptop you can connent to prove the fault isn't your own machine?

As rebooting your modem/router temporarily fixes the problems, it does suggest the finger of blame be pointed at that hardware.....or your ISP is lying and they keep disconnecting you (not to be dismissed, but you need to be sure every part of your hardware is working correctly before challenging them)

Hope thats some help

no extra modems just my router/modem from my isp directly to my computer.

weirdness continues as i tested the wireless from the same modem and that works fine.
