To get these, you need to talk to Rian, the station controller at Kashyyk's neutral platform. She'll give you a couple of missions to escort some freighters safely to the station (waves of T2-3 dunelizards, scyks and kimos). Once these are done, ask her about the CPG, and she'll send you to the surface to talk to Eyma.
Eyma's in the second hut on the right as you come into Kachiro, and he'll send you off on a few missions too. After a while, he'll send you to your factional space station, saying your superiors want to talk to you.
They'll give you a few escort & destroy missions, some of which can be quite tough, simply for the constant waves of fighters coming in. You'll get a nice funky hologram as a reward. Finally they'll give you a mission to disable and escort a corvette back to the station, for which you get given the elite ship and a badge. Fun NOTE: If you change factions, you cannot currently get more than one ship - Rian resets so you can do her escort missions, but Eyma DOES NOT RESET, therefore you can't progress I've been posting to the forums and logging bugs, but I guess unless a bunch of Jedi complain, it'll never get sorted! Torvan apparently managed to get the Vaksai and X-Wing, but think he may have not changed factions, just pilot squad.
If you are Rebel on ground and a freelance pilot, I'm pretty sure that you can get both the Xwing and the Vaksai.
Do the mission as Ish says, but after you have gotten the Vaksai, head on over to the Rebel faction spacestation.
They'll give you a couple of missions - first gets you the Rebel insignia holo as far as I remember, and then you get a second stab at the 'vette to get the Xwing.
One tip on the 'vette - wait until it's around 5k from the station before you disable it. That'll limit the time for enemies to spawn and means you won't have to deal with the tier 5 gunboats that will eventually turn up.

Ok Isharra tell me where in forums to start a complaint on that and I will contact all my jedi friend's to chip in and then thro the secret jedi network we have soon every jedi on every server including the japanese server's will have posted on that thread at least once if not 50 odd time's then hey presto problem sorted
