Darth Vader and Force Lightning

My kid apparently knows a lot more about Star Wars than I do.

He just informed me that Darth Vader can't use Force Lightning, because he has cybernetic arms!

"Force lightning required a living conduit for the energy to be channeled; thus Darth Vader, despite being an immensely powerful Sith Lord, was never able to properly employ this ability, as all his limbs were prostheses."

I replied that only one arm was cybernetic, the arm struck off by Count Dooku.

But he said that Darth Vader had no limbs at all, as they were all burnt off when he lost his fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

So I guess Vader's reaction to a wrong answer, in the bunker on Kashyyyk, aint exactly kosher, eh ?

Anyone else realize this inability ?

And just for fun, here's Darth Vader defeating Darth Maul, by thrusting his saber thru his own body, into his enemy behind him!

 Actually no, it's OK timewise, if you know all the details.

But true, this timeline problem WAS my 1st reaction.

The 2nd reaction was: Aren't they on the same side ?

I knew Vader couldnt use force lightning yes. Im full of useless star wars trivia like that.

Didn't know about the vader maul fight, havn't read any of the comic cannon (judging by the pic its from a comic). And only read probably just under half the novels.

But I probably only remember about 10% of what I've read :p

The Maul aspect is due to cloning.

It's not the "real" Darth Maul.

The reason for the fight was the cloned Maul wanting to kill Vader and regain his position as Palpatine's Apprentice.

Basically...
