Hmm... I actually kinda like the rumours. If SOE really did lose their license, or whatever, to work with the game, that means they can´t destroy it anymore. And that Bioware gets it instead is quite nice to hear too (Even if it´s just a rumour) because they might make this game more intressting to come back to.

wow thats intresting news. I have pretty good feelings about Bioware. Altho i am afraid this will lead again to mayor changes in the game. Maybe its better to start indeed with SWG II and give us the chance to transfer. (keep changing the old basic code cant be good for performance and stability i think)

But i consider this as a positive rumour

SOE statement

Several websites are passing along spurious internet rumors regarding Star Wars Galaxies. Rest assured, these rumors are completely untrue.

LucasArts and SOE have no plans to “sunset” Star Wars Galaxies. The two companies will continue to work together as partners in making Star Wars Galaxies the ultimate online Star Wars experience. As has been announced several times previously, LucasArts and SOE are 100% committed and determined to continue to support Star Wars Galaxies together, especially with our renewed focus on improving the game for existing players through robust publish and content offerings in 2006. On our forums, we have shared early plans for game updates through Publish 34.

Additionally, LucasArts and SOE will be hitting the road this April and visiting several cities across the US with a series of Community Summits in an open “town hall” format where players can meet face-to-face with development team members, ask their questions, voice their concerns, as well as meet and hang out with fellow Star Wars Galaxies players.

Hrrmm.. Ohh well, must say the rumors did sound abit strange, actually. Well, there´s really not a big chance of me having intrest in SWG unless they put in those skillbars back that I loved to fill before. But that is truly never gonna happen, so I just stick to my WoW. Atleast it remains unchanged.
