Chapter 7 colletion stuff guide(spoiler warning)

this is a work in progress i'll post any rewards and badges i can find as well as the wp if u have one i missed pls post and i'll add them in the main posts. :D
(and yes this is combining 2 post of the offical forum :D cause 1 doesn't have locations and the other is just hard to read :D

 

BEGINNING YOUR COLLECTION

  • Accept Chapter Gift - C-3PO's Comlink *
  • Go outside of city
  • Open Inventory and Choose Inspect from Comlink Radial Menu
  • Accept Start a Quest "Collecting Comlink Pieces"
  • At Collection Exhibit choose "Add to Collection" from Radial Menu
  • Follow WP to "a Collector"
  • Speak to "a Collector" and activate collection "Collecting Comlink Pieces"
  • Receive quest "Comlink Component Collection"
  • Follow WP to nearest item (item name appears in WP)
  • Mouse over and choose "Add to Collection" from Radial Menu
  • Receive system message "Congratulations! You have added RED NAMED ITEM to your collection GREEN NAMED COLLECTION.
  • Proceed to the next nearest active WP - rinse and repeat until you have found and collected all the items (Please be aware that there may be hostile NPCs at some locations):
    Comlink Repair Tools
    Comlink Housing
    Comlink Transmitter
    Comlink Frequency Code Sequencer
    Comlink Tranducer
    Comlink Variable Frequency Programming Chip
    Comlink Telemetry Boost
    Comlink Encryption Module
  • Upon collecting all the required items you will receive message "Congratulations you have completed collection Collecting Comlink Pieces.
  • Completion will activate the next quest in the Chapter Gift series "Collecting Datapad Pieces" Be very careful not to Add to Collection any pieces in your inventory at this point (this is where you get bugged).
  • Return to quest giver "The Collector" (follow WP)
  • Receive reward "Rodian Collector" painting
  • Speak with Collector again to activate the next quest series "
  • Follow WP to Scavanger Thugs and kill them until you loot all the required items:
    Datapad Housing
    Datapad Processor
    Datapad Storage
  • Click on each piece in your inventory and select "Add to Collection" from the Radial Menu (Item name will be GREEN for items not already in your collection and RED for items you have already collected.)
  • Return to quest giver "The Collector" (follow WP)
  • Receive reward "The Jewelry Collection" painting
  • Speak with Collector again to activate the next quest series "Tusken Quota"
  • Follow WP to Tuskens and kill them until you have:
    Vanquished Zealots (5)
    Vanquished Soldiers (5)
  • While killing the Tuskens you may loot additional quest items. To ensure that you do not bug yourself, do not add these items to your collection at this time.
  • Return to quest giver "The Collector" (follow WP)
  • Receive reward "Novice Collector" title
  • Speak with quest giver again and you may choose up to two (2) of the quests the collector offers.

You have now successfully experienced three of the ways in which you can create collections:

  • Quest Giver Given Quests
  • Found Items
  • Looted Items **

You may now use the radial menu on the items you looted off the Tuskens to start a new collection "Tusken Valuables"

Besides the Quest Givers there are additional ways to begin your Collection journey. There are items that drop from NPCs/Critters you kill which will start a collection series. There are items that you will find in the world that will also begin a collection series. There is no limit to the number of quests you can begin in this fashion.

COLLECTIONS DATAPAD
You can access your Collections Datapad by either:

  • Opening Character Sheet
  • Clicking on Personal Tab
  • Clicking on "Show Collections" button; or

Pressing the Menu Button and selecting Collections from the list.

The Collections screen has these categories (you may not have activated them all at first):

  • Badges (includes Pre-C7 badges and those earned beginning with C7)
  • Weapons
  • Armor
  • Slayer
  • Artifacts
  • Decorations
  • Devices
  • Hobbies

Collections you have started and/or completed will be shown in one of these categories.

COLLECTION QUEST GIVERS:

  • Limit of two (2) quests per collector
  • The Collector will only offer to remove those collections that he/she offers
  • Removing the Collection will cause all progress made in that collection to be removed

* Please Note: You MUST first do the C-3PO Comlink quest (your Chapter Gift) before you can begin getting collection quests. To use the comlink you must be outside of a city (both NPC and player). A shuttle will appear and take you to Mos Eisley. You MUST examine the collection you appear before and then talk to A Collector to begin the Comlink series.

You will bug yourself if you begin ANY type of collection series before first talking to A Collector and completing the initial Comlink quest. Do Not select Add to Collection looted items (especially the Datapad Housing, Datapad Processor, Datapad Storage) before you have received that quest from the Collector.

*** Please Note: You MUST first travel to Aurilian Township and speak with Maximillian (Aurilian Travel Consultant) the first time in order to use the shuttles between Coronet/Mos Eisley/Theed and Aurilian Township. If you use one of the Contacts to travel to Aurilian Township your ship does not go with you. Maximillian will transport you to Trade Outpost (Dathomir Outpost), Mos Eisley, Coronet, Theed, or Nym's Starport. Maximillian's primary purpose is to transport you to the Heroic Encounters.

i don't think it works that way, i think u need to find a displayed version of the weapon.

but im not entirely sure

26-oct i logged on TC prime and picked up the first of the weapon collections i could find im a npc hall, so i now seriously doubt our reward weapons would count for the collection.
