hi all. i got a question. i use a linksys wrt54G router for our cosy home network, but it has several problems (kinda always did) 1th i have to reset it couple of times a day a bit annoying but u learn to live with it.
Second when i run my internet through the routers i can either A play SWG and browse a bit on the web . if i do more say download i suffer in SWG or it won't load my browser pages.
but when i plug it straight into my computer i can play SWG,Browse, and download (with out suffering in swg).
So i my router not upto the job or broke , should i get a new one ? and if yes what ?
sounds like its not up to the job of acting as a hub. I run a Netgear wireless router and its fine, got 2 pcs and a laptop doing thier thing on it no probs. cant remember the model and its in Ambers room, will check later
i had a Netgear Modem/router which was always giveing me jip, had to reset the damn thing about 10 time s a day, i bought the same router as you have alas, but it wasnt a modem aswell:P so waste of money lol, ened up just plugging my modem cable into my Main phone line instread of the secondary one upstairs, seems to have improved alot, probably completly unrealted to your prob bu i wanted to contribute ^^ :P

I'm running a D-Link Gamer Lounge. Non-Wireless model. Its able to rout up to 1gb/s wired throughput. I've run up to 2 laptops and 1 pc over it without any trouble. Although not so much intended for internet use so much as for LAN gaming, I still like 1gb/second, even if i'm usually only pulling about 800mbps from my greedy Internet provider.
