Flitting in and out

Hi all,

As you may or may not have noticed, I've been a bit absent recently.

Think I kind of overdid the game in December and got a bit bored after reaching my 3 master target, and things have been a bit mental rl as well.

I will be continuing playing (my account is paid until july I think) but probably not as much as before. Think I've hit the common problem of trying to find content in the game beyond just grinding professions on your own, as well as trying to strike a balance with the real world...

If you do see me on, then I'll more than likely be kicking imps somewhere near Dune to get faction, and you're all welcome to join in.

I'd love to get in on some guild hunts etc as I think I recently got blinded by the destination and lost sight of enjoying the journey.... Ooooh, bit deep and meaningful there.

Anyhoo, see y'all soon

I think I can see why people get bored with the game... the moment you say you're 'grinding' a profession, you're no longer having fun with it, it's just a chore... You all may have noticed it took me a while to hit master pistols and doc (even though some people say they can master one in a couple of weeks) - it's cos I was enjoying the social side, and having fun working up the skilltree, and just generally not forcing myself to think I absolutely HAD TO master everything as quick as poss to achieve parity with other peeps.

I'm going for Jedi - which, just off the top of my head, is gonna need about 110 million pistol xp just for initiate!! It's going to take me years, but I'm just enjoying chatting to people, killing stuff, and having a laugh, not really concentrating on the horribly far-off destination :p If I ever make it, wonderful, but until then I'm not putting any pressure on myself to achieve a million xp a week or whatever, so I'm more laid back about it all. But then, I'm a unique kinda guy

So, after that long-winded (and admittedly relatively pointless!) ramble , basically DON'T GO MATE!!! hehe. Enjoy life, have fun, kick butt!

Ain't Prozac marvellous?

well when i was a new player i had no idea how to grind stuff and whatnot. it took me like 2 months to master scout. Now i think this is because i didn't sit there doing the same thing over and over again. I went out hunted all differnt things not the same thing and when i need to make something ill make it, not sit there for hours with a macro running crafting the same dam thing.

So what im trying to say is, although it takes longer to master you experience more from the game and have alot more fun and plus i think the game is more challanging  when your not a master.

As you can see from my other post, I'm thinking of ways to liven things up a bit, so I'll be taking your advice and trying to look at the sights along the way!

Maybe I'll just spend some time travelling all the planets, hitting the poi and seeing what there is out there to kill ;)

Yay, good plan :) And hey, there's always the challenge of the Corvette that's still waiting for us

I was actually mental enough to get a corvette ticket and head up there on my own...

Now that was a laugh.

I got scanned and sent overt in Kor Vella before I even made the corvette...

Then it was amazing how many bad guys you can get to chase you at the same time who are able to deathblow you before you can even hit the feign death button :)

And to top it off, as soon as I came back to Kor Vella to get my ship, I got scanned again, forced overt, deathblowed by a stormtrooper platoon and of course, I hadn't cloned on Corellia.

Helloooo 976 battle fatigue.

Still, you've got to laugh.

mm if u ever try again do not go up there alone  there a few who can and i think noone who ever gone up alone made it back with a badge or a av powerplant.

So if u are willing to go there set up a good team of 10ppl pref. with someone who has done the mission a few times and knows there way around the corevette.

greetings Alas.

(Ps yes we all get bored at some point and indeed i also hope for some more content in the game like the ancient story arcs that as rather nice, but its the ppl that make a mmorpg worth wile i have logged over 450 playing days by now and still active and will be for sometime i think.
