If u sign up for heroic's or other events please read the following guidlines.
1) Heroics to be run will be decided prior to the event and to the knowledge of everyone. We will cycle through all heroics in sequence, unless requested otherwise; the following order seems sensible in terms of buff similarity
IG88 & ISD Tusken & Ackva Exar Kun
(and please bring the character that would prove advantageous to the group, if u have more then 1 ofcourse.)
2) Sign ups for Heroics will be posted on the forum and mailed round in game at least 1 week prior to the event.
3) People who reply to the mail / respond on the forum will be considered before people who turn up on the night. Order of preference will be in order of time responded, ie. first come first served. If more people sign up than there is space for they will be put on a reserve list, with the priority also allocated by time of response.
4) Assemble time for runs will be 7.30pm UK time, meeting in AR cantina ready to leave at 8pm
5) The time between 7.30 and 8 will be used to discuss roles and responsibilities of each person in the group for the particular heroic.
6) If you are not in group and ready to go at 8pm your slot in group will be allocated to the 1st reserve player if possible.
7) Players are expected to have full access to the specific heroic dungeon on the character they sign up with.
8) Please come 'on leave' it makes sorting out the healing for the medics so much easier.
9) Please at least have had a cursory glance at the guides for the specific dungeon posted on our own forums.
10) All players will be expected to sign in to vent (with unavoidable exceptions) or SWG voicechat (post GU5) for the duration of the attempts, there isnt time to waste on typing everything out while trying to stay alive
11) One or 2 people in group will be allocated as 'leaders' They will attempt to guide the group through the instance, please listen to what they say. They will generally be people who have experience in each instance.
12) Loot: There is some nice stuff available from many of the mobs in these instances, please consider the needs of others when looting. Loot Macros are NOT acceptable. Following the instances there will be an attempt to distrubute loot among the group, whether or not this takes the form of a 'master looter' for the run or not is not decided as yet.
suggest changing 'IG88 & Exar Kun' to Just Exar Kun as it would be good to take our time on it and work on it for the whole session. Plus the buffs are different
********Update************** Idea in development.... for each Heroic a list of required 'roles' will be posted / mailed round Anyone can sign up for any heroic, but will go on the waiting list for thier role
so if we ask for 3 DPS and 4 commando sign up, the 1st 3 are in and the 4th is 'reserve' Professions will fulfill several roles, dependant on thier template / the needs for the heroic.
Roles and the possibilities are (profs in bold are preferred):
Medic Medic DPS Commando / Bounty Hunter / Pistol Smuggler / Officer Support Officer / Debuff Smuggler/ Medic / Dark Jedi Tank Light Jedi / Commando / BH / Tank Smuggler Minor DPS Spy / Jedi / Smuggler / Medic / Entertainer / Trader
This system may be semi implemented for next Sundays Tusken and Ackva heroics runs.
I like the idea of roles signing up. I also think, and this may be controversial, that if the required roles arent present for event start, then the heroic doesn't take place. The reason for this is that it becomes incredibly frustrating to attempt a heroic knowing from the start that it will fail because the right roles aren't present. Doesn't mean we can't do something else, but continued failure has a detrimental effect on morale :P
So for example we stipulate for IG88 3 x DPS 2 x Medic remaining 3 slots free choice.
light jedi for tank i understand but why specify light jedi with minor DPS would a dark jedi do alot more DPS so maybe just "jedi" will do the trick there :D
I originally had dark jedi in under 'DPS' but changed my mind due to not knowing what they are like, the rest was a copy paste error :D
i would like to advise plp to try and go and do some heroics in other groups (non KS) during the weeks Just keep sundays for us :P We all might learn some new tactics from that. The more we do this the better we will get. And if we all know what to expect we can all focus on our role and staying alive, instead of relaying orders to others :D
yes there is a folder called heroics (or very simular) according to what i've heard from locals thats the the one to be in and the main folder of the rebels So dont open it and use the subchannels just join the main groups.
last saturday (17 jan) romizzi asked me to join grungy's group. In that group i did AM TK ISD IG88 and EK in a mere 4 hours. Grungy and 'sachiko' His wife seemed really nice plp to me so you might wanna try joining them, from what i understood they do heroics very regular. So if you see them asking go for it :P

Looks like it's a fight for the final 'other' spots between 5 or 6 people. I suggest a mini tournament for interested parties with trophies to be had eg if I beat Dod, I get one of his small balls...

Got quite some heroic invitations yesterday, so i guess others in guild will get them aswell :) if we all try getting willing guild members a position in those group aswell we could benefit from a more busy server then we were used to :P
I was getting a heroic invite every 15 mins or so on average, and me Monty and Marrt had a couple of successes with our group. Although the thieving loot wazzock in IG was a downside :D
