right, a bit late for most I know.. but for reference..
In your swg folder there is a profiles folder which contains files for each of your characters, seperated by account, then galaxy. Each galaxies characters files have a unique number. So Jibbletts files would be 1234567890.xx for example these files contain your keymap, ui settings etc. etc. You can determine which character they are for by looking at the last modified date and time and relating that to your log-in.
when you transfer galaxy the game treats your transfer as a new character, hence char gifts, clothes etc etc. and thus assigns you a new char number in the 'farstar' galaxy folder in your profiles. If you copy your old infinity files to the farstar folder and rename them with your new farstar character number you wont have to re-do your UI and keymap. You will still have to redo your friends list though. so on infinity Jibb was 1234567890 on farstar he is 0987654321
back up the new files, copy the old ones accross and rename them to 0987654321.xx
Back-up your new farstar files before attemptiong it, just in case, but it has worked on all 5 of my chars without issue so far......
Thanks for the tip Jibb I'd imagine the friends list is also made up from the unique server numbers of your friends and so would never be able to be transferred.
