Test Centre Update 8


Player City Updates

  • City Update Pulse that is normally 1 week has been reduced to 2 days.  This will cause a City Election Cycle to be every 6 days instead of the normal 3 weeks. (TC/TCPrime only)
  • The City Mayor can change City Specializations 'at will' during the initial testing period. (TC/TCPrime only)
  • City Maintenance has been disabled for the initial testing phase on TC/TCP - No cities will be required to pay maintenance during this time. (TC/TCPrime only)
  • Cities will not collect taxes from its Citizens during the initial testing phase on TC/TCP.
  • The above changes will be reverted after sufficient testing has been done for the City Update changes.  They will return to their normal Live Configurations. (TC/TCPrime only)
  • An existing citizen will get his profession and level initially updated in the citizen roster when he logs in for the first time after the update is up and running. 
  • Storyteller Items placed in a Player City gain 8 hours of bonus longevity (meaning they will last 24 hours instead of 16).
  • Increased the base amount of Decorations Cities can have by 50%.
  • Increased the base amount of Civic Structures Cities can have by 50%.
  • The Cloning Lab specialization has been changed; it now reduces the cost of removing Cloning Sickness by 50%.
  • The Improved Job Market specialization now gives a console message informing the player of the bonus payout for missions run from that terminal.
  • Research Center specialization now gives the Crafter a message when the bonus is applied.
  • Manufacturing Center specialization now gives the Crafter a message when the bonus is applied.
  • Encore Performance (Storyteller): Cities that have this Specialization enables Storyteller Items to last an extra 12 hours.
  • Removed Stronghold Specialization.
  • Outdoor Enhancements is now available.  Mayors who choose this Specialization will receive a 33% increase in the number of City Decorations and Civic Structures they can place.
  • Beginning 5/1/2009 12:01AM PDT, during every galaxy restart, if a citizen has not logged in for more than 90 days, he will be automatically removed as a citizen of the city.  The citizen's structure(s) will not be affected.  You can use the updated citizen roster window to see how long it has been since a citizen last logged in.  In-game mail will be sent to the mayor when a citizen is removed because of this 90 days inactivity.  If the citizen logs back in after he has been removed as a citizen because of the 90 days inactivity, and his resident structure is still within the city limits, he will be immediately added back to the citizen list, and the mayor will be sent in-game mail indicating that the citizen has been added.
  • Player-owned Theaters, Cantinas, Hospitals and Merchant Tents can now have their storage increased.
  • A confirmation code is now needed to 'Delete All Items' inside your structure.
  • Players can now move items Up/Down in the Hall of a Small Generic House, style 1
  • Players can now move items Up/Down in the Hall of a Small Generic House, style 1a (aka. "style 1, floorplan 2")
  • Players can now move items Up/Down in the Hall of a Large Generic House, style 1
  • Player City: A "Citizen of Same City" search condition has been added to the Search Community tab to allow searching for citizens of your city.  A search that includes the "Citizen of Same City" search condition will return all matches, and will ignore the other characters' anonymous and hide location settings.  For example, if you just search by the "Citizen of Same City" search condition, the search results will display all online citizens of your city and their locations.
  • House Signs: When viewing a player's house sign, it will show the actual name of the sign; previously a player would see 'a sign.' instead of the sign name.
  • Storytellers can now have Storyteller Zoning Rights for multiple Cities.
  • City Citizenship Report and City Structure Report now display using a sortable Table UI.
  • Citizen Report now shows Citizen Name, Structure Type, Structure Location, Citizen Last Login Time/Location, Level and Profession of each Citizen.
  • Selecting an item in the Citizen Report will now create a waypoint to the selected Citizen's Structure.
  • City Structure Report now shows the Structure Name, Structure Location.
  • City Structure Report now shows all Civic Structures and Decorations.
  • City Structure Report now shows all items (previously capped at 50).
  • City Structure Report now shows Garden Names (if Mayor has named them).
  • Selecting an item in the City Structure Report will now create a waypoint to the selected item.
  • Mayors can now change the sign name on City Cloning Centers.
  • Mayors now receive Deposit Mail Messages when Citizens make Credit Deposits to the City Treasury.
  • /grantZoningRights now has a UI.  The user can now choose to grant Full Zoning Rights, or Storyteller Zoning Rights.
  • /grantStorytellerZoningRights allows your target to place Storyteller items within your City without giving them the rights to place structures.
  • Mayors can now add Administrators to the City Hall. 
  • Mayors can now withdraw a maximum 150,000 credits/day from the City Treasury.
  • Mayors can now view the Structure Status Menu on Civic Structures.
  • Fixed an issue where a Citizen's Vote would be wiped if he/she was added to the City Militia
  • New Residents of a City will no longer Auto-Vote for the Incumbent Mayor.
  • Removing a Citizen from the Militia no longer Auto-Votes for the Mayor.
  • Mayors can no longer destroy City Halls during an 'Election Week'.
  • Mayors can now create a Message of the Day for their Citizens.
  • Mayors can now create a Message of the Day for people who visit their City.
  • Mayors now have the option to place a 'Recycling Station'(Junk Dealer) in their City.
  • Mayors can now name their City Gardens. 
  • House Signs: Mayors, while inside their City Limits will now see the Structure's Owner when viewing the House Sign.
  • New Gardens are available.  These are classified as small gardens' and can be crafted using the small garden' option in the crafting menu.
  • New Fountains have been added as City Decorations.  These items are in the drop-down menu when crafting fountains.
  • New Statues have been added as City Decorations. These items are in the drop-down menu when crafting statues.

Gameplay

  • Added another version of 'a veermok' to the Veermok Victimizer Collection.
  • Holo-Pets will now delete when you choose to destroy the Holo-Pet Emitter using the House Management Terminal to 'Delete All Items'
  • The Stage Controller collection is now available. It can be found in the Lucky Despot.
  • Added optimizations to heals and the GCW aura buff.
  • 69 Month Vet reward (Gamorrean Greeter) added
  • Group XP bonus has been increased
  • Fixed an issue where the "Equip Appearance" radial option would appear on items that were already appearance equipped.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause you to start your own instance instead of joining your group in theirs.

Player Associations

  • Mail can be sent to all guild members of a particular guild rank.  You must be the guild leader or a guild member with mail permission in order to do this.  For convenience, the To: field on the mail compose window now contains a drop down that contains the existing predefined recipients citizens, group, and guild, as well as the new predefined recipients for the various guild ranks.
  • Guild war kills tracking is available for all to see for active guild wars and the 100 most recently ended guild wars.  Everyone can access this information from the remote guild management terminal in the datapad.  It can take up to 1 minute after a kill for the guild war kills tracking information to get updated.
  • Guild war kills tracking has been added for guilds that you are mutually at war with.  You can see this information in the Guild Enemies window.  It can take up to 1 minute after a kill for the guild war kills tracking information to get updated in the Guild Enemies window.  If the guild war is ended and then restarted, the information will be reset to 0.
  • A list of guilds on the server and their member count is now viewable on the PA datapad device (if the player is in a guild or not).
  • Added guild war exclusive and exemption lists to allow selectively choosing which guild members will be PvP enabled for guild war.  Only guild members with the War permission can update the guild war exclusive and exemption lists.  The Guild Enemies window will display how many members are guild war PvP enabled for your own guild, for guilds you are currently at war with, and for guilds who have declared war on you, but *NOT* for guilds that you have declared war on.
  • If 2 guilds are at war, the following rules are used to determine if members from the 2 guilds can PvP each other under the guild war rule.  If they can already PvP each other because of other rules (like dual, factional, bounty hunting, etc), then they will be able to PvP each other because of those other rules, even if they can't PvP each other under the guild war rule.
  • If the guild war exclusive list is not empty, only those guild members will be flagged for guild war PvP.  If the guild war exclusive list is empty, all guild members will be flagged for guild war PvP except those on the guild war exemption list.
  • If a guild member is currently guild war PvP enabled and the status is changed to guild war PvP disabled, it will take between 1 and 2 minutes for the disabling to take effect, during which time the guild member will still be flagged as guild war PvP enabled.  Switching from guild war PvP disabled to guild war PvP enabled occurs immediately.
  • An existing guild member will get his profession and level initially updated in the guild roster when he logs in for the first time after the update is up and running.
  • The membership roster has been updated to have six columns instead of one (Name, Title, Profession, Level, Rank, and Status).  It allows browsing and sorting of each column.  The maximum amount of members that can be displayed in the interface is 500 (the largest size a player association can be).
  • A "Member of Same Guild" search condition has been added to the Search Community tab to allow searching for members of your guild.  A search that includes the "Member of Same Guild" search condition will return all matches, and will ignore the other characters' anonymous and hide location settings.  For example, if you just search by the "Member of Same Guild" search condition, the search results will display all online guild members and their locations.
  • War exemption and exclusive added to the guild interface on a per member basis.
  • Guild Master elections have been added.  Elections can be started by nominating yourself for election on the Player Association Device.
  • Guild Ranks have been added.  Guild Ranks can be assigned by a Guild Master or a guild member that has the permission to assign ranks.

This one can be quite intresting for us i think. Now older cities have the possibility to loose citizens, and new ones to gain ranks if im not mistaken

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to chime in on your concerns about the new rule going into effect on May 1st. This rule states that if the character has not logged in for at least 90 days, and is a citizen of a city, the character will get removed from the citizen list, without the character's structure(s) being impacted.

We have been thinking on this for a long time, and with your responses to the above stated rule and after much discussion here, we have decided to extend this to flag the character's structure(s) in the city, for the character who has not logged in, to be eligible for packing up.  To be absolutely clear, we are talking about when this particular character/citizen last logged in.

This packing will not be like the current house pack-up mechanic, you will not get points for packing the structure. It will not be marked as abandoned, it will be flagged in some other way.

For players who for any reason that cannot log in the character at least once during the 90 days, we will enact a feature to allow the mayor of the city to flag that citizens structures as "safe", meaning it will not get flagged for packing and the citizen will not get removed from the citizen list. There will be a limitation set on the number of citizens you can "protect" as this is a feature for those cases which would normally not occur very often.

What does this mean? It means that if you have structures in your city, whose character owners have not logged in in at least 90 days, the characters/citizens will be removed from the citizen list and the characters' structures will be eligible for packing by other players. If, as a mayor, you dont want those citizens structures packed and those citizens not to get removed, you can set them as protected.

Any structures outside of the cities will be unaffected.

If the city shrinks, those structures that are flagged, but haven't been packed up yet, that are now outside the city limits, will no longer be eligible for pack up, since those structures are now no longer inside the city limits.  If the resident structure of a "protected" citizen falls outside of the city limits because of city shrinking, the "protected" citizen will be removed as citizen since he no longer has a resident structure inside the city limits.

If the city expands and picks up additional structures, the additional structures, because they are now inside the city limits, will be eligible to be marked for pack up using the rules stated above

There will be a limit to how many houses can be 'protected'.
This is great news for us - not only does it give us more advancement opportunities, but also it means we have a much greater chance of making the city pristine eventually. Bring it on!

Player Cities:

  • City Pulse has been changed back to 7 Days(was 2 days for testing). This returns Update Cycles and Voting back to 7 days. (TC/TCP-Only)
  • The City Specialization Lockout has been readded. Mayors can only change their Specialization once every 7 days. (TC/TCP-Only)
  • Cities will again collect taxes from their residents. (TC/TCP-Only)
  • Cities will again be required to pay maintenance fees. (TC/TCP-Only)
  • City Structures Report now has a 'Structure Type' column. This column separates items in the Structure Report into four categories; Structure, Garden, Decoration or Terminal.
  • Entertainment District now gives a noticeable bonus. Entertainers receive both a Duration and Tick increase while in a City with this Spec.
  • City Recycling Centers now show up on the Planetary Map. These can be found under Terminal/City Junk Dealer/Recycling Center.
  • Fixed an issue where City MOTDs were causing various Hex Color Codes to appear in the chatbox.
  • City Citizenship UI Column Adjustment; Location/Last Login has been shifted to the right.
  • After an election, ownership of all city decorations are now transferred to the New Mayor.

Player Associations:

  • Guilds that start an election who have a guildmaster that has not been active within 90 days will have their votes cleared prior to starting the election.
  • /guildremove command has been fixed to properly remove players from a guild that are offline.
  • The guild roster was listing level after profession and title before profession. The columns were swapped to make it consistent with the community search window.
  • There is now a 5 to 6 minutes delay when changing a guild member's guild war pvp status (either from enabled to disabled, or from disabled to enabled) for the new guild war pvp status to take effect on the guild member.
  • Excluded war option can now be changed on yourself, even if you are not a guildmaster.
  • Guild login/logoff notifications are now displayed if you use the /guildnotify command.

Tansaari Point Station:

  • There are now informational Comm Messages from R2 when doing the Dust Durni Collection on Tansarii Station.

Vendors:

  • Vendors can now wear body suits.
  • Vendors wearing Padawan Robes and Body Suits will no longer stay naked when receiving other wearables.
  • Ithorian Vendors can now be dressed in Ithorian Clothing.
  • Devaronian Vendors no longer accept hats or head gear.
  • Data for TCG Vendors now display under the Miscellaneous category of the skillMods tab for the character UI.

Structures:

  • Galactic Moon Festival signs (both hanging & standing) that are claimed via the structure terminal will be updated to utilize the new structure sign system. The new sign objects can be consumed for a skill modifier that allows extended use of the festival sign on structures other than just player houses.
  • Standing signs, such as merchant shop signs, will now display correctly on Player City Medical Center Structures.
  • Player structure sign system has been updated. A 'Sign Managment' radial option is available to players via the structure terminal. Shop signs updated Galactic Moon Festival Signs are placed and removed using this option.
  • Merchant signs now display correctly on Cantina Structures
  • TCG Target Creature 'Stop Combat' radial option now takes the player out of combat immediately.

Vehicles/Mounts:

  • Removed block on Jetpack that disallowed calling the vehicle while running.
  • Mounted banthas now have sound when running

Player City

  • The founding date of all existing player cities have been determined from exhaustive analysis of the each city hall's permanent records, and has now been permanently recorded as part of the city hall's permanent records. Newly created player cities will now record the date of founding as part of the city hall's permanent records. The city founding date can now be viewed from the city status window. Also discovered by chance during the exhaustive analysis of the city hall's permanent records was information regarding the city's founder. The city's founding father (or mother) can now be viewed from the city status window.
  • Mayors can now see the owner of Factories/Generators/Harvesters.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue where you could clone at the campsite on Hoth without it having been spawned.
  • Camp Terminals now show a timer that communicates their life time.
  • Cloning:Fixed issue with cloning that occurred when you had bound at a location, died, and chose anything other than the one at the top of the list.

Content Changes

  • Three new collections are available; Square-Cut Green, Round-Cut Red and Round-Cut Purple Gem collections. The gem's for the collection can be found on various NPC's on Mustafar and Kashyyyk as well as high level treasure maps.
  • The Rebellion is now taking donations for the war effort. See Lt. Jarad Gastin near Anchorhead. You will be rewarded with a title for your donations.
  • The Empire is now taking donations for the war effort. See Major Caleb Knolar near Bestine. You will be rewarded with a title for your donations.
  • Exceptional Milking ability (rewarded through exceptional milk collection) has had the buff timer lengthened to be an hour. This ability now shortens the task of creature milking, introduces a creature stun chance and an exceptional milk chance. This ability buff will stack with Starshine Surprise.
  • The /locateStructure command now identifies the resident structure, if any.
  • All new and existing Droid body and Droid Head containers now allow for stacking when the container is not in a player's inventory.

Space

  • Lesser Used Chassis: Tweaked a number of stats for the Y-Wing, Y-Wing Longprobe, B-Wing, Tie-Bomber, Tie/In, Dunelizard, Kimogila, Ixiyan and the Rihxyrk
  • Tweaked the drop frequency of different space components
  • Updates to the frogs space components. The level 8 weapon, level 7 and 8 shield and B-Wing now have improved stats to reflect high end items on the live servers (TC Only)

StoryTeller

  • You can now buy 4-LOM and Talz costumes

Structures Trader

  • New Draft Schematics: Eight new player structures have been added 
    • Six redesigned windowed versions of existing structures
    • Two completely new structure designs (one large and one small)
    • All eight new structures can be colored by the owner when using a Structure Customization Kit from inside the structure.
  • New Draft Schematic: Structure Customization Kit
  • New Draft Schematic: Structure Traders can now Craft Beast Encoder and Replicator which will allow a Beast Master to store their beasts
  • Draft Schematic Update: Professor's Desk now shows as 'Professor's Desk' (instead of just 'Desk' ) when using the Structure and Furniture tool.
  • Draft Schematic Update: Decorative Brazier renamed to be Slave Brazier in structure crafting tool to match the name on the draft schematic.
  • Structure Terminal: The Privacy menu option on a structure Management Terminal now shows the building's current privacy setting.
  • Generic Small House, Style 1, Floorplan 2 hanging sign adjusted to make room for Hanging Crescent Moon sign placement.

Domestic Traders

  • Kommerken Steak now accurately gives foraging bonus and treasure map foraging bonus. Only duration and quantity can be experimented on.
  • Cavaellian Creams now correctly modify a player's incapacitation timer. Quick Resuscitation is now a skillmod that can be viewed on the character's skillmod tab.
  • Smuggler's Delight now subtracts time from any spice downer instead of multiplying the downer. Spice Downer Resistance can now be seen in the player's skillmod tab.
  • Rancor Aid is now a drink buff that provides a Snare Resist
  • Ithorian Mist is now a drink buff that increases Fire Absorption and Fire Resistance
  • Veronian Berry Wine is now a drink that increases Bleeding Absorption and Bleeding Resist
  • Ahrisa is now a food that increases Poison Absorption and Poison Resist
  • T'illa-T'ill now uses resources that allow for greater Potential Energy and Flavor.
  • Lightweight Military Pack schematic (Imperial Theme Park Backpack) now gives Agility +20, Precision +20, Strength +20, Camouflage +15
  • Spec-Ops Field Agent Pack schematic (Rebel Theme Park Backpack) now gives Agility +20, Precision +20, Strength +20, Camouflage +15
  • Durindfire uses resources that allow for modification of Potential Energy and Flavor.
  • Starshine Surprise Drink has changed from requiring a gas resource to requiring fruit. The drink modifies Creature Milking Quantity, Exceptional Milk Chance and Paralyze Beast Chance.
  • Garrmorl drink schematic now requires resources that affect the potential energy or flavor.
  • All pet food schematics are crafted by Domestics Trader only. Schematics are rewarded at level 38 (Domestic Essentials V).
  • All Pet Food is found under the Pet Food category in the Food Crafting Tool.
  • All Domestic Crafted Desserts, Food and Drinks have had unused stat modifier Experimental Filling removed.
  • Domestics trader can no longer craft a barrel. Existing barrels are unchanged and will still show up as valid components when crafting drinks
  • A pass on all domestics food, desserts and drink buffs has been made. Many of these consumable buff effects have had base effect amounts and duration increased.
  • Several Tailor wearable draft schematics were updated to reflect a new color palette

Foraging

  • Foraging system adjusted for even better Lysase finds when using Foraging Pig.
  • Foraging system adjusted to fix Treasure Map Kommerken Steak issues.
  • Ice cream foraging bonus will stack with both Foraging Pig, Kommerken Steak and Luck.
  • Luck increase for foraging bonus.

Beast Master

  • Structure Traders can now Craft Beast Encoder and Replicator which will allow a Beast Master to store their beasts
  • Focused Enzyme Manipulation, Fervent Mutation and Incubation Time Reduction now show up in the player skillmods UI.

What on earth is this? I can store my beast in my datapad - wonder if it's like a mini-barn, so you can have your pet 'out' in your house or something?


Maybe I need to start getting resources and prepare to become a proper strucure trade with Flintlock, as I'm sure there will be a big demand for windowed, colourable houses!

How it works on live:

Compnor missions run at level 5 to 69 award 10% of the XP required to level up. 

Compnor missions run at level 70 to 79 award 6.66% of the XP required to level up.

Compnor missions run at level 80 to 90 award 6.66% of the XP required to level up.

On TC now:

An extra 10% XP gain on all kills and many quests in the journal have had the reward text updated to reflect an additional 10% XP from the current live XP rewards.

Compnor missions run at level 5 to 69 award 20% of the XP required to level up. (10 missions give 2 levels)

Compnor missions run at level 70 to 79 award 10% of the XP required to level up.

Compnor missions run at level 80 to 90 award 6.66% of the XP required to level up.

Hmm increased xp gain so its getting even easier to level a toon. Its getting to easy to lvl toons imo. The only reason i can think of is hoping that this will reduce "some plp's need to buy power levelled toons/powerleveling services"

the point being there is little low and mid level content in the game, rather than spending money developing some mid level content, which most people will only do once, its smarter to jsut make it easier to get to lvl 90 and then put in high level content.

Domestics Traders

  • Added 50 item wearable container named 'Pouch Belt'. This new item craftable by all Domestic Traders with Domestic Mastery V. The pouch belt wearable can be worn by all professions (including Jedi) but it cannot be worn with a backpack. This wearable cannot be slotted and has no stats.
  • Healing Potency reduced on Scrimpi, Trimpian and Parwan Nutricake food schematics.

Structure Traders

  • A new line of furniture has been added to your level 86 traders. The "Rustic" furniture resembles the elegant line, but is obviously more rustic in appearance. Best go get your vibro axes and get some wood to start manufacturing enough pieces of furniture to meet the demand you are sure to get. NOTE: Loche forgot to check-in two files, thus you cannot currently craft the Rustic End-table or the Rustic Love Seat. Move along, nothing else to see here.

Collections

  • The Light Gem Schematics no longer have a quality rating when being crafted.
  • The rare gem collections can now be repeated
  • Pictures created by the backdrop generator can no longer be moved
  • The wide backdrop paintings can no longer be moved

Misc

  • Player Structure: To help with moving in to a new structure, if you are currently at or below the lot limit, you will be allowed to place a new player house even if doing so would exceed the lot limit. To be precise, this exceeding the lot limit is only allowed when placing a new player house (factory, harvester, generator, guild hall, merchant tent, cantina, medical center, theater, diner, barn, etc. are not included). To coerce you back to lot limit compliance, the following will occur when you place a new player house that causes you to exceed the lot limit. A message (in large red text) will be permanently displayed on your client warning you that you are in violation of the lot limit. You will be spammed every minute with a warning message that you are in violation of the lot limit. It may take up to 1 minute after the violation for the large red text and the spamming to begin. You will not be able to drop any item into (or move around items within) any other factory or structure (even those owned by someone else that you are admin of) except for the structure that caused you to exceed the lot limit. You will still be able to drop items into other containers (inventory, equipped backpack, bank, trade with another character, storage droid, vendor, bazaar, POB ships, etc). You will not be able to edit the admin list of the structure that caused you to exceed the lot limit.
  • Reverting the ability of Non-Citizens to have the ability to see the City Status window due to player angst. (TC Only)
  • Fixed Naboo Small Windowed House Door open/close animation.
  • Changed the neutral title badges to show if you have any slot in that collection
  • Changed conversation to give badge message if player purchases title
  • Hid purchased title badges if you dont have them

GamePlay

  • Reduced mission Payout xp bonus to be around 10% over live (TC Only)

Beast Master

  • You can now train your Peko Peko as a mount

Player Structure

  • To help with moving in to a new structure, new commands /saveDecorationLayout and /restoreDecorationLayout have been added to save and restore decoration layout of a structure or POB ship. These commands are also useful to "undo" a decoration change that you don't like, like if your cat jumps on the keyboard and ruins your decoration masterpiece. Or they can be used to save multiple decorative layouts of the same structure or POB ship, allowing you to quickly witch between decorations. Run these commands and follow the on screen instructions. You can get the name of the room that you are currently in from the "UI Debug Print" window (Shift+Ctrl+G). Saved decoration layouts are not transferred with CTS. Note that these operations save and restore an item's position and orientation by tracking the item's unique id. As such, it will only restore the particular item (NOT a similar item) that was saved. The item to be restored must be placed directly in a room (any room) of the structure or POB ship. For example, it cannot be in your inventory or inside a container in the structure or POB ship.

Chefs

  • The duration of the buff from crafted foods or drinks can be increased cumulatively by eating more of the same food as long as the resulting duration does not exceed 2 hours. The value of primary buffed modifier of the last one eaten will be the one used by the buff.
