Friday Feature: Death Troopers Sneak Peek

This week we are going to give you a quick sneak peek into the work being done on our upcoming Death Troopers update. Check out some of the new art work, new speeders, and take a look at some of the collections we have added. We will make sure to share more as we get closer to the release of Game Update 14.

When the Galactic Empire outlawed podracing, those who wanted to engage in high-speed, high-risk sports quickly turned to swoop racing, and the Flare-S quickly become the most common swoop bike on the race circuit. A "swoop culture" of high-risk, stunt-oriented drivers existed on many worlds, making the dividing line between amateur swoop racer and criminally minded gang member fuzzy.

The Flare-S was also popular amongst swoop gangs, mercenaries and bounty hunters

It was equipped with forward-mounted steering vanes, longer stabilizer bars for increased handling and maneuverability and a repulsorlift engine mounted in the center of the bike's frame to provide a decrease in rolling and tumbling. The Flare-S also came with air intakes which force-fed several turbothrusters that were connected to directional nozzles. This allowed it to gain additional speed and maneuverability.

We are less than a month away from the eagerly-anticipated publication of Death Troopers, the first Star Wars horror novel penned by author Joe Schreiber. This hardcover release features a dust jacket that turns into a poster featuring the head-turning artwork by Indika. For a schedule of Schreiber's appearances on his Death Troopers book tour, visit the Random House / Del Rey website here. For more on Death Troopers, visit its official site here.

Korriban zombies were the reanimated corpses of dead Sith slaves. Developed with arcane Sith Alchemy by the Dark Lord Dathka Graush, the zombies were used as an invincible army by Graush to take control of Korriban in the succession struggles prior to his reign. The zombies saw little use after the murder of Graush, though the Sith appeared to use them as a form of guardian in the Valley of the Dark Lords. Several grave robbers were known to have fallen victim to reanimated corpses, though it is unknown if these were Korriban zombies, or some other form of undead defense.

Sith undead were long-dead Sith warriors that lay in the catacombs of the Dark Force Temple on Dromund Kaas. Ghastly in appearance, their weapon of choice was Force Lightning. On alien presence, their rotten bodies were reanimated by the dark side aura of the Temple to protect it. Mara Jade faced these warriors during her quest for Kyle Katarn on Dromund Kaas.  Link: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_undead
