I'm not sure that emu would be a viable option. With the WoW emu's, Blizzard take a lot of them down every now and again, and I'm guessing that we would have to move servers every now and again which would make it quite hard to have a permanent presence, so I'm leaning towards TOR
I'd really like to stick with the guild in a new mmo. I hope im wrong but i suspect from what ive read that tor will not have anywhere near the depth of swg, so maybe we could look at some alternatives with complex crafting, player housing/cities and basically much of the stuff we have had so far in swg. i've had a quick look, but most mmo's seem to be fantasy based (pointy ears, spells, childish graphics) but surely there is an alternative out there.
We still have plenty of time to search and maybe we could try some out and post reviews of our findings here.
I guess what im trying to say is that maybe we can find something most will like and find more satisfying in a non star wars setting, in the event that tor isnt up to scratch
Will do Rom, I think i might also cancel 1 sub and use the cash to check out anything that looks promising, please dont think i was being ungrateful for your efforts so far :)
May I suggest Eve, it is a sort of sandbox and pretty complex. They have also started rolling out a new expansion (Incarna) which means pilots can now leave their ships and walk about (i believe the plan is to allow opening shops / bars and that kind of thing).
It is however primarily a spaceship game still - still if anyone wants to try let me know as I am relatively established in it now so can help with the fairly steep learning curve.
Thanks
