As u all know there are no taxes in amber ridge and city maintance is payed by the KS council. This is something the council has absolutely no problem with and has been paying for city even when we lived in DE.

Odly enough some citizens of Amber have expressed the desire to want to pay taxes so we all pay exacaly for the city.

To test the amount of intrest for the payment of taxes I set up a poll on the forum,  so pls all vote there to let us know how the mayority feels about this issue.

Just so u all know the city normaly requires 550000 crds a week AR has about 100 citizens(some will be non-active)

Is there any way the town can be improved through the public paying taxes?

More buildings/items/decorations? More trainers? tidy up the old uninhabited places?

I'm happy to pay taxes. Is it variable depending on house size?

Thoughts from the ex mayor to be...

We can add more stuff like fountains etc. but it all depends on what people want.
They cost money to upkeep. We have a memorial fountain / flame that is dedicated to citizens past and present that we are going to place as soon as the mayor is useful enough, so we would welcome suggestions / ideas in that regard.

As far as trainers go I think we have the max number, and to be honest, you cant keep everyone happy. I would be loath to muck around with the trainers only to have complaints that one we have replaced is now wanted too.

We are waiting to see the impact of the new reward houses before thinking about a city tidy up, but tbh I think we have a good layout now, although we are always open to ideas and thoughts.

Empty structures is a different matter altogether, and we can do little about it.
I have been in contact with the LxA guys and will be transferring theier houses accross to mine and Ycals accounts soon, so they can be redistributed to active players.

But in other cases, most notably the theatre and other cantina, we are screwed, the devs wont remove them and only the owner can redeed them. They are there to stay, unused and unuseable.

How about charging a bit more for shuttle journeys? Lots of other people visit our city now, and it'd be a nice little earner. Not much - maybe match the amount that swg takes each time.
