Graphics card upgrade

Hi Team

Was toying with the idea of upgrading my graphics card, i currantly have 2 x 9800 GT running in SLI, was looking at getting a GTX 580 and using one of the 9800 as a PhysX Card

the GTX 580 is GDDR5, now would this work on my computer providing i have a powerful enough PSU?

I know my RAM is DDR2 but not sure of the G-card has to be the same as that or not!

Agreed, your 9800 GT should work fine as a dedicated PhysX card to your new GTX 580.

No SLI bridge needed for a dedicated PhysX card.

You'd install the GTX 580 and its drivers 1st, then reboot and install the 9800 GT, etc.

Here's a link to a Nvidia post that should help you sort it out : http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=185527
