I wanted to share a look ahead at Publish 28 with you. We will be discussing these items further in the Stratics chat tonight, so come prepared with any questions you have about them.
Armor Enhancements
• We are removing armor certifications for all armor wearing classes. This means that any class that is able to wear armor will be able to use Battle, Assault, and Recon armor type, with the following exceptions:
- Mandalorian Armor will still be restricted to Master Bounty Hunters and Master Commandos.
- Jedi will continue to be restricted from wearing armor.
• All armor hindrances will be removed. There will no longer be a penalty for wearing armor.
Armor Loot Drops
• We will be adding more armor loot drops to the game. The power of the armor that can be looted will be proportional to the Combat Level of the MOB.
• These new armor loot drops will use a wide variety of stats and protections.
• We will be adding a much larger variety of clothing armor for all players through loot drops throughout the game, including Jedi exclusive clothing.
PvP Enhancements
• A command will be added that can be used from the tool bar that will allow players to declare from “Combatant” to “Special Forces” in the field. This will take 30 seconds to execute.
• If you are killed in PvP combat by another player, they will be rewarded one of your items chosen at random. This could be either an equipped item or an item in your inventory. No-drop, bio linked, and no-trade items will be exempt from this.
• After you are killed you will have the option of placing a bounty on your attacker. This will deduct the specified amount from your bank account or from your cash on-hand and add the bounty to your killer. Bounties placed on a player will be cumulative, so if multiple bounties are placed on a player, their overall bounty will increase. The bounty can then be claimed by a Bounty Hunter as described below.
Bounty Hunter System
• If the /bountyCheck command fails it will now clear its cooldown timer properly so that it can be used again immediately.
• Bounty Hunters will now be able to use the /bountyCheck command on other players. If the other player has a bounty on them, the Bounty Hunter will be notified of the bounty amount and will then have the option of attempting to claim the bounty. Claiming a bounty will flag both the Bounty Hunter and the target as PvP positive using the existing duel system. (Insuring one-on-one combat.) If the Bounty Hunter kills the target then they receive the bounty and it is cleared from the target. They will also receive the PvP item as described above.
Item Changes
• We will be removing the no-drop, no-trade, and bio-link items off a wide variety of items. These will be primarily quest reward items.
Entertainer Additions
• To allow entertainers the option of engaging in more of the content in the game, we have added combat abilities as part of the progression path. Entertainers will be able to advance through either combat or their normal activities. None of the existing entertainer abilities are being removed, though AI will no longer ignore entertainers.
In addition to these items, we will also working on key fixes and other regular updates that will be released between now and then.
yay. But i read the bad site of it in the german forum..... The Enemy can loot by randon one of ure .. non no trade, non Biolinked items... So if luxia go Hunting she'll let her BH armor at home
plus... a lot of the current no trade or biolinked items will be having thier classifcation changed. Funny thing will be jedi having thier pearls looted
Update.. they are running a poll about the PvP death penalty thingy.. results so far
Publish 28 is bringing some new PvP enhancements to SWG. We want to know which of these five possible Death Penalties you would prefer: You have already voted on this poll, and this poll does not allow the changing of votes.
3327 Vote(s) No Penalty. When I am killed, death is the only inconvenience. (62%)
1298 Vote(s) Lose credits based on level. The higher your character’s level, the more credits you will lose. (24%)
191 Vote(s) Lose one item. When killed in PvP combat, you will lose one random item from your character’s inventory or that you have equipped. (4%)
108 Vote(s) Lose one item and also credits based on level. When killed in PvP combat, you will lose one random item from your character’s inventory or that you have equipped and credits based upon your character’s level. (2%)
412 Vote(s) Free loot. Your attacker gets to pick one item to take from your character’s inventory or from your equipped items. (8%)
Again, following an excellent pub 27, 28 looks to bring some nice changes.
Commandos are back in action thanks to pub 27, and now BH and PVP is gonna be unleashed once more in pub 28.
Neither of the these publishes major changes have affected me much ( I dont have a commando, and my BH wont be PVPing) but I am really glad to see other proffs getting a good looking at and increasing their play value.
It means more people will play as classes other than Jedi, and that broadens and colours the galaxy for me. I know PVP is a big thing for some players and its nice to see it addressed here.
well not sure if they thought this trough as i doubt anyone will PVP with the risk of loosing one of there items( i already sense the bug that your whole filled backpack counts as 1 item)
and the removal of certifications and increase in Quality drop armor is just a other blow to the Armorsmiths that were already not very happy with armor not decaying so they will all toghter disapear.
Entertainers get combat so they don't get left out..... i never in my life hear more BS then this sentance, if u want entertainers to interact with the game give them the means to do so by there own proffession, say like the old entertainer buff, or bring Battle fatigue back anything.
Hi there i spend the last 2 years on the eisly ballet school, now i can shoot a flea of the back of a dewback.... sounds like a cheap B movie

Fix this stuff or my mum / dad / social worker will stop paying for my subscription.
lol yes maybe it is like this... no iam sure it is like this *g*
But i read today something interresting for Traders/Tailors at the german Communety Forum....
a Tailor can set stats at Clothes aigan????? anyone who know that this is right? I would like it as a bloody respecc jedi :P
I wrote also that the Jedi Clothing is bull**** couze the Armor stats dont stack with Cloaks and have a maximum at 5000 ( stacked )
I dont know if its true but i think thats a nice point for elders but not realy a good thing for bloodies like me!!!
But its doesnt matter if the tailor can make stat clothing as well... so I'll make my "alternative jedi" Clothes with stats and i dont have any problems....
Bah... i wish that they make jedi to something special aigan... delete it as "Click Choose" Proff and everyone who whant to be have to grind / doing special things... or anything ( hmm and its ok with me when the elders can save the "jedi" )
I dont like it to be one of the clicked jedis.... but i like the jedi as proff.... ah i dont know...
Its never comming back and i dont get a chance to play it couze i worked for it!!!!!
So iam stay only as a bloody Respec Jedi and i have to be quid everytime couze respect arent good enough to exist.... and the damn jedis r fixed at every publish and the dont work at the realy important things....
Everytime any not respecc jedi is talking about speccs i feel bad /cry
and i have maybe the motivation to grind trixy..... but maybe i specc to a combat proff, lvl up to 90 and specc aigan....
but i want to have trix as master tailor... iam only to lazy...... omg..... i think i have to grind then -.-
and if my babe read this today...... we have to get more katarn coze wit pub 28 everyone who can war armor can wear katarn now too... maybe we sell more now..... *g*
at long last theve fixed the heavy xwing quests been waiting ages to b able to continue this quest and can now get it piity i just droped master pilot looks like i have to pull me finger out and get grinding
