As some of u might know Dune Edge has been having some problems keeping our city status. So far the problem isn't causeing problems for us,since we been able to keep the citizens to 55 by any means we could find. We had a old member who changed servers come online and place a house (thx lizy) We got help form outside our own guild (thx hestia/grace from ORR and lawretta) we been paying the maintance of Bumbleboo,marki and exectionist houses so they won't disapear and had a member who took a second char create a few fake ppl placed houseing and maintance then deleted them and made a new char.. All this has kept us the City status. Needless to say this isn't the way a city should fuction and is costing money.
When we lose rank, the shuttle is only the most visible change that will happen. We also lose trainers,decorations and size what will probebly result in some structures being outside of the (rank 3 )township, also no more specialization like the current improved job market.And as Zach already said the shuttle will hurt the mall there will actualy be litte use for it anymore since ppl want to shop were they can get to and not swoop 2k for it (well some ppl anyway).Also suspect some members will place there main house somewere closer to a shuttle.
So as u also my know we been looking for a solution to this problem not a temparery one but a permant one so that we don't have to worry from week to week about the future and start planning and focusing our attation to more fun things like events and hunts. There are a few solutions to this problem and in all the weeks talking and arguing only one seems to hold the anwser for us. We thought of inviting a other guild to DE non we contacted were intrested. We thought of starting a new town.but starting over isn't a realistic option since we'll have to start with nothing with no certanty of the furture.
Then a 3th option was giveing to us. by the leaders of Amber Ridge.(yes indeed they contacted us) So here is the plan. We KS moves to Amber ridge. (I know alot of questions just shot trough your mind and u hate moveing) If we move to AR it solves our problem toghter we be large enough to keep town lvl(might actualy reach metropolis and thus getting more trainers and fatures for town)we be on a flat piece of land and have a layout planning in comination with the excisting on of amber ridge.
Also there willing to give up mayorship of amber and give it to einia so we can keep out own mayor. There willing to change the name in agreement with us to suit our needs. Well there praticly giveing us amber so to speak.
As I see it this is the best change for us atm and most likely the best change were getting is we want to keep a town with a fair amount of facilitys. Had a meeting with the Council about this before brining this out in the open, our votes are clear 5 in favour and 1 against. But then this thing is to big to be decided by 6 ppl that why i´m asking u all to vote on the matter.
Send me a mail with yes or no and feel free to add any thoughts,idea,suggestions to it but do it fast since Amber is also looking for a anwser to its future. Mailing will close NEXT WEEK WENSDAY 16TH of FEB. All votes will be counted then a your dicision will be make pubic.
I know this is no small matter but its a good opertunety to ensure we have a home to go to.
