Base Busting!

Calling all rebel scum...

Let's face it boys and girls, Base Busting is more fun when you do it yourself!

Bounty Hunter:
Smuggler:
Commando:
Medic:
Officer:
2*DPS:
Extras (Spy, for lookout and general anoyance factor):

The Galaxy is't going to free itself!

Law.

P.S. we just need to sort out a day of the week, a time and read a guide.

From: http://swg.wikia.com/wiki/Faction_Base_destruction

It says that vulnerability times for PvP FBs is for only three hours, every 48 hours. Does this period stay the same for a perticular base? So if you can find out when it is vulnerable you could come back two days later and bust it?

Also, how do you see if a base is vulnerable? I guess you go in as one of the character types needed to bust it and check a terminal? I am happy to do the legwork, I have a Commando and I can find out the base locations by turning one of my crafters Imp.

to find out you need to go into the base and check the terminal, but only Imp players can check imp bases etc.etc.

Never done a basebust so if my DSJ counts as DPS then I'd like to give it a go if I'm online.

Lawrandra has resigned from the Rebels and will join the Imps ASAP. Then I'll get the waypoints to the Imp bases and try to find out when they are vulnerable.

Ok, Lawrandra is now an Imp bitch and ready to stalk her way around the planets looking for vulnerable S.F. bases.

I'll keep a record of ones I find in this thread smile

Base Busing is back on the cards :)

It was suggested that we could take out both a Rebel and an Imperial base, so that we can have one of each near to Amber Ridge.

So any takers? We can sort out the details once we know we have enough people :)

Law.

P.S. for the Reb base we'll need a group of Imperial toons.

P.P.S. A big thanks should go to Romizzi for grinding GCW, as you need to be a GCW ranked officer to see the base times.

I know I'm not one of the core profs for base busting, but please keep a lowly DSJ in mind. I could sure use the GCW.

P.S. I should be on more often now I think :)

Tuesday 5th Jan

See in game mail for the RP element!

Bases are ready just after 8pm GMT, so assemble times as if for a heroics run, i.e. 7.30 to get everyone buffed/ready.

EVERYONE welcome, but must have the 5 core proffs to go ahead.

Bounty Hunter - Ordie
Smuggler -Alas
Medic - Xeppi (or any other med who would like to try to do the terminal)
Commando -
Officer -

Support - Dodferatu

These bases are special forces, so to enter you need to be SF. If you're just coming for the GCW points then you can sit nearby as just combatant.
But please remember these are other players bases and they wont want them destroyed, its not like the old organised base busts.

We really do need to be a bit stealthy, (not just for RP!) i.e. a big group of rebels hanging around outside the base is going to cause the resident guild to rally their members to go sf and resist us.

Ideally we should ALL go SF and hide inside the base (spies exempt) until it blows.

When the first one blows, ITV back to amber then use the head to travel to the next one. They are in the same city, but I dont want a train of us on bikes riding through the city.

I will be placing a house as close the bases and to the city as possible as a staging area/hiding place, and a wp for this will be given on the day. This is a quick retreat to run into if anyone needs/wants to.

P.S. not sure how many people will want to come, so we may need to have 2 groups. Ideally the BB profs should be in the same group.

That's a shame Jibb, but fortunatly with bases, the vulnerability cycles to a diff time every few days. What with the week consisting of a prime number of days and bases being placed at differant times, we will eventually (quite easily) find some that you can attend.

Well I am not really ready for any hot action until 20:15 after I finish work. I tend to go online and do a couple of things when work quietens down. if there are spaces after the full group I'll happily come along. I don't see why we cannot have a second group to just help with the action in case any SF imps pop along, could be fun.
